November 27, 2006
The California
State University Summer Arts Program is pleased to announce
the selection of Cal State Fullerton professor Lynne Gross
as the 2006 Rosebud Faculty Honoree at the Media Arts Festival.
The 16th annual festival was held Nov. 3-5 at CSU Channel
Islands.
The Rosebud Faculty Honoree is recognized for achievement
in media arts and education. Gross was selected from among
nominations from the 23-campus CSU system. She teaches
production and theory courses in the Department of Radio-TV-Film
at CSU Fullerton. Gross
can add this recent Rosebud Faculty Honoree Award to her list
of distinctions, which included the 1997 Distinguished Education
Service Award and the 1999 Frank Stanton Award.
The Media Arts
Festival is intended to help students in the California State
University system make a successful transition between producing
films in college classes and working in the film and television
industries.
The festival is highly respected within the film
industry and attracts leading professionals as seminar leaders
and judges. This year, 180 CSU students and 60 faculty members
took advantage of the festival’s many offerings, including
workshops, film screenings and the awards ceremony.
