New Alumni Relations Leader Named at Cal State Fullerton
Dianna Lopez Fisher Brings ‘Depth and Experience” to Exec Director Post
February 29, 2008 :: No. 171
Dianna Lopez Fisher of Fullerton is Cal State Fullerton’s new executive director of alumni relations.
Prior to joining the university, Fisher was associate executive director of UCI’s Alumni Association, where her responsibilities included overseeing volunteer initiatives and committees of the organization’s board of directors, evaluating and modifying the association’s programs and services, creating campus partnerships and revenue opportunities, and identifying and cultivating alumni and student leadership for the group.
“There is a high level of energy and enthusiasm on campus and within the alumni community as CSUF celebrates its 50th anniversary,” Fisher said. “It is an honor to be joining the university at this exciting time.”
Previously, Fisher was director of campus relations for the UCLA Alumni Association and associate director of alumni and parent programs at Drake University.
“We’re very fortunate to get someone with Dianna’s depth and experience culminating from three institutions — and someone so dedicated to alumni work,” said Pamela Hillman, vice president for university advancement. “Everyone is very excited to have her here.”
Fisher earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Nebraska and her M.P.A. from Drake University. She is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Willa Cather Society.
She succeeds Carlos Leija, now serving as chief development officer for Orangewood Children’s Foundation
