Summer Art and Math Camps Offered

Extended Education Offers July Programs for Children and Teens

June 10, 2008

University Extended Education has two summer programs that can help students grow artistically or prepare for fall math classes this summer.

The Children's Summer Art Camp offers two sessions for children and teens 7 to 14 years of age. The 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. programs offered from July 7 through July 18 or July 21 through Aug. 1, are geared to those who want to explore art and drama. Classes will allow young artists to explore a variety of cultures, art concepts and methods by working both independently and as a team. The program culminates with an exhibition of the participants work.

Summer Math classes are designed to help youngsters 10 to 16 years of age get up-to-speed on topics such as algebra, geometry and general math. The programs are offered two hours a day from July 21 through Aug. 1.
