ASIAN/PACIFIC ISLANDER RESOURCE CENTER

Asian/Pacific Islander

The Asian/Pacific Islander Women's Resource Center , established a mission consisting of four progressive priorities:

1-Bullet
To provide students with information, guidance, referrals and discussion on the changing roles of the Asian/Pacific Islander woman.
2-Bullet
To explore issues ranging from personal to professional growth.
3-Bullet
To heighten awareness of the needs and strengths of the Asian/Pacific Islander woman.
4-Bullet
To build a strong and effective network for establishing partnerships and personal friendships among Asian/Pacific Islander women. In addition, special programs, guest speakers, community resource and discussion groups are offered.

History

For years the CSUF Women's Center hosted different workshops and presentation focusing on Asian/Pacific Islander women's issues.

In the spring of 1994 the Asian women's discussion group was added to the existing programming. This new group evolved from the increasing concerns CSUF Asian Women had personally and professionally as 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation women.

It is an excellent opportunity for professional growth and relationship enhancement.

This group meets every Monday from 2:30 to 4:00 pm in UH205.
Come and join the discussion!
